New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) define what all students should know and be able to do at each grade and by the time they graduate from high school.

As an Abbott school district, the Union City Board of Education participates in several programs provided by the state for low-income districts to achieve these standards.

Curriculum Development

The Union City Board of Education uses a five year curriculum cycle to continually update and keep our curricula aligned with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.

The District has also developed a program description handout that details the curriculum and evaluation schedule for all content areas at all grade levels.
